The plant itself came into being in 1957 as one of the small working units of the Zagorje coal mine. Five years later, in 1962, it became a separate company called “TEVE VARNOST“. Numerous organizational restructuration took place during the following years and in 1997 the company was taken over by BARTEC to become “BARTEC VARNOST“
